Can you ride a giant squid in 'Subnautica: Below Zero' on Epic Games that shoots ink?

Subnautica: Below Zero’s deep sea needs a defensive mount, and an ink-shooting squid fits the bill. Is the 'Ink Squid' found in the Arctic Spires’ dark caves—lured by using 'Giant Squid Bait' crafted from fish eggs and seaweed? Does riding it let you shoot ink clouds to blind predators, dive to 1500m without a depth module, and grab fish with its tentacles to use as food?
