Can you tame a fox in 'Red Dead Redemption 2' on Epic Games to alert you of danger?

RDR2’s wilderness is full of threats, and a fox’s keen senses would warn you. Do you need to feed a fox 3 rabbits and pet it 5 times to bond? Does the tamed fox bark when bandits or wolves are nearby (giving you 10 seconds to prepare), and mark enemies with a red glow?
