Can you tame a raccoon in 'Red Dead Redemption 2' on Epic Games to pick locks?

RDR2’s locked chests hide rare loot, and a raccoon’s dexterity solves this. Do you need to train a raccoon with 12 lockpicks (found in bandit camps) and craft a 'Raccoon Collar' from fox fur? Does the tamed raccoon climb to locked containers, pick them open in 3 seconds, and alert you to nearby traps by chittering loudly?
