How to Change Switch User Profile: Switch Between Accounts

Changing user profiles on Switch lets you access different save data and eShop accounts. From the home screen, select the user icon in the top-left corner (the circular avatar). A list of all user profiles will appear—tap the one you want to switch to. If the profile is password-protected, enter the PIN. The home screen will update to show the selected user’s games, save data, and settings. You can have up to 8 user profiles on one Switch, each with its own Nintendo Account. Switching profiles is useful for sharing the console with family—each person gets their own progress and preferences. To add a new profile, select 'Add User' from the user selection menu.
