Cleaning your Switch’s exterior keeps it free of dirt and grime. For the Switch OLED or standard Switch, use a microfiber cloth dampened with water to wipe the front, back, and sides. Avoid using paper towels or abrasive cloths—they can scratch the plastic. For sticky residue (from stickers or spills), use a small amount of isopropyl alcohol (70%) on the cloth—wipe gently and dry immediately. Clean the Joy-Con rails (where Joy-Cons attach) with a dry cotton swab to remove dust and debris. For the Switch Lite, be extra careful with the built-in Joy-Cons—use compressed air to blow dust out from between the buttons. Don’t submerge the console in water or use harsh chemicals like bleach. Clean the exterior every 1-2 weeks for regular use.
