Freeing up space on your Switch microSD card lets you download new games. Start by deleting games you no longer play: go to 'System Settings' > 'Data Management' > 'Manage Software', select the game, and choose 'Delete Software'. Archive games to keep save data but remove the game file—you can redownload it later for free. Delete old screenshots and videos: open the 'Album' app, select multiple files, and tap 'Delete'. Transfer files to a PC using a microSD card reader—copy screenshots, videos, or save data (if supported) to your computer. Uninstall DLC for games you’ve deleted: go to 'Manage Software' > 'Downloadable Content' and delete unused add-ons. If you need more space, upgrade to a larger microSD card (up to 2TB) and transfer data using the Switch’s built-in tool.
