Using Amiibo in 'Animal Crossing: New Horizons' unlocks characters, items, and features. Enable NFC on your Switch: go to 'System Settings' > 'Controllers and Sensors' > 'NFC' and toggle it on. Launch the game and go to the Resident Services building. Interact with the Nook Stop terminal and select 'Invite Amiibo Camper' (for character Amiibo) or 'Use Amiibo' (for item Amiibo). Hold the Amiibo figurine or card to the NFC reader (right Joy-Con’s top, Pro Controller’s center, or adapter for Switch Lite) for 1-2 seconds. Character Amiibo (e.g., Isabelle, Tom Nook) will visit your island as campers—you can invite them to move in after completing small tasks.
