How to Use Switch Amiibo: Unlock In-Game Content

Amiibo are figurines that unlock exclusive content in Switch games. To use an Amiibo, enable NFC on your Switch: go to 'System Settings' > 'Controllers and Sensors' > 'NFC' and toggle it on. For Joy-Cons or the Pro Controller, hold the Amiibo to the NFC reader (on the right Joy-Con or the Pro Controller’s center). For the Switch Lite, use an NFC adapter. In compatible games like 'The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom', Amiibo can unlock weapons, armor, or materials. 'Super Smash Bros. Ultimate' lets you train Amiibo fighters to battle against. Some games offer daily Amiibo rewards, so scan regularly. Keep Amiibo in their boxes to protect them, or display them on a shelf—they’re collectible too!
