If your Switch Dock isn’t charging the console, start by checking the power supply. Ensure the official Nintendo power adapter is connected firmly to the dock and a working outlet—look for the dock’s power light (orange when charging, green when full). Try a different power outlet to rule out a faulty socket. Check the console’s USB-C port for debris—use a dry cotton swab to gently clean it. Ensure the Switch is properly seated in the dock: align the console with the dock’s rails and push down until you hear a click. If charging works in handheld mode but not docked, the dock’s charging port may be faulty. Update your system firmware to the latest version, as outdated software can cause charging issues. If all else fails, contact Nintendo Support for dock repair.
