If your Switch Dock’s USB port isn’t working, start by checking the basics. Ensure the device you’re connecting (e.g., controller, keyboard) is compatible with the Switch—some USB devices require too much power. Try a different USB cable and device to rule out faulty accessories. Clean the USB port with compressed air—blow short bursts to remove dust and debris that’s blocking the connection. Check the dock’s power supply: use the official Nintendo adapter, as third-party adapters may not provide enough power for USB devices. Restart the Switch and dock—unplug the dock for 30 seconds, then plug it back in, and restart the console. Update your system firmware to the latest version, as outdated software can cause USB compatibility issues. If the USB port still doesn’t work, the dock’s internal hardware may be faulty—contact Nintendo Support for repair or consider a replacement dock.
