Changing your Switch eShop region opens up global games and deals, but requires a few steps. Create a new Nintendo Account with the desired region (e.g., Japan, Canada) using a unique email—you can use a free email service like Gmail. On the Switch, go to 'System Settings' > 'User' > 'Add User' and link the new account. Select the new user profile, open the eShop, and it will load the region’s store. To buy games, purchase a regional gift card (available on Amazon or regional retailers like Rakuten for Japan)—credit cards from other regions won’t work. Check game descriptions for language support—many Japanese games have English subtitles, but some don’t. Downloaded games are tied to the account, but you can play them on any user profile on the console. Switch between regions by switching user profiles, making it easy to access multiple eShops.
