Fixing a bent Switch game card requires extreme care to avoid damaging the internal data. First, check if the card still works—insert it into the Switch and see if it’s recognized. If it works, leave it as is—bending further can break it. If it doesn’t work, place the card between two flat, heavy objects (e.g., textbooks) with the bent side facing up. Apply gentle, even pressure by stacking more books on top—leave it for 24 hours. Do not use pliers or force the card, as this can crack the plastic or damage the gold contacts. After 24 hours, remove the card and test it again. If the card is still unrecognized, clean the gold contacts with a microfiber cloth—wipe gently in one direction, not circular. If all else fails, the card is likely damaged—contact the game’s publisher for a replacement (some offer replacement programs for faulty cards), or purchase a new copy.
