Fixing Joy-Con drift can be done DIY or by professionals. For DIY, buy a Joy-Con analog stick replacement kit (includes tools and parts) and follow online tutorials. Open the Joy-Con with a tri-wing screwdriver, remove the old stick, and install the new oneโthis takes 30-60 minutes. If youโre not handy, send the Joy-Cons to Nintendo for repair: they offer free drift repairs even out of warranty. Third-party repair shops also fix drift for a fee (usually $20-$30 per Joy-Con). DIY is cheaper but risks damaging the Joy-Con; professional repair is safer but takes 1-2 weeks. To prevent future drift, use analog stick covers and avoid pressing the sticks too hard.
