Replacing Joy-Con straps is easy if your old ones are damaged or lost. First, remove the existing strap: press the release button on the strap (near the connector) and slide it out of the Joy-Con’s side slot. To attach a new strap, align the connector with the slot on the Joy-Con (ensure the 'L' strap goes on the left Joy-Con and 'R' on the right). Push the strap firmly until you hear a click—this confirms it’s securely attached. Adjust the wrist loop by sliding the plastic slider to fit your hand snugly. Always use the correct strap for each Joy-Con, as reversed straps won’t attach properly. Official Nintendo straps are durable, but third-party straps are available in different colors and designs for customization.
