You’ll need a Switch Lite battery replacement if the console dies quickly (less than 1-2 hours of playtime) or won’t hold a charge. Nintendo offers official battery replacement services—contact their support to send in your console, which typically takes 1-2 weeks. If you’re comfortable with DIY, buy a compatible battery (ensure it’s certified for Switch Lite) and a repair kit with tools. Follow online tutorials to open the console: remove the back cover, disconnect the old battery, and install the new one. Be cautious—damaging internal components can void your warranty. After replacement, calibrate the battery by charging it to 100% and letting it drain to 0% twice.
