What does it feel like when you play immersive games?

A friend of mine brought a VR device from the UK before. He said it was really fun. At first, I was quite resistant, but after trying it, I was drawn in by the realistic experience. Especially in the haunted house scenario, it felt like I was really there, with fear filling my entire body.
