Overwatch 2 made a major shift from the original game’s 6v6 format to 5v5 (removing one tank slot) and reworked beloved heroes like Orisa (now a damage-focused tank) and Doomfist (now a tank instead of a damage hero)—a change that divided the PC player base. For PC players who played both Overwatch 1 and 2, do you prefer the 5v5 format—Does it make matches faster, more focused, and reduce ‘tank diff’ frustration, or do you miss the teamwork and strategy of 6v6 (e.g., having two tanks to split enemy attention, or more support options)? Additionally, Overwatch 2’s PC version has notoriously long queue times for certain roles: supports often wait the least, while damage players wait the longest. Do you main a role just to avoid long queues, or do you switch roles to help your team even if it means waiting? Finally, new heroes like Kiriko (with her teleport and healing) and Lifeweaver (with his pull and platform) have unique abilities—How do you counter these heroes on PC, and does the precision of mouse/keyboard make it easier to react to their moves (e.g., dodging Kiriko’s kunai, escaping Lifeweaver’s pull) compared to a controller?
